Overview
The PITTAR FT-D Series is a premium line of Front Terminal Deep Cycle (FTD) batteries engineered for superior integrity, reliability, and performance in the most demanding applications. Specifically designed for frequent cyclic charge and discharge, these batteries utilize strong grids, thick plates, and a specialized active material formulation to withstand repeated deep discharges effectively.
A standout feature of the FT-D series is its 30% longer cyclic life compared to conventional standby series batteries, making it a cost-effective and durable power solution. With a 15-year design life under floating charge conditions, these batteries ensure long-term performance for critical infrastructure such as telecommunications base stations, solar energy storage, and UPS backup systems.
The front terminal design is optimized for easy installation and maintenance in standard 19-inch and 23-inch equipment cabinets. Additionally, the series features an extremely low self-discharge rate (less than 3% per month at 25°C), allowing for storage of up to 6 months before a recharge is required.
